Smith Reactor Max Sunglasses

Interchangeable lenses for biking and hiking throughout the day. Great for ultra distances!

Excellent for biking and endurance adventure racing Smith's Reactor Max features an interchangeable lens design to protect your eyes throughout the day. While plenty of other outdoor eyewear companies offer various versions of polarized lenses Smith prides itself in giving customers "the world's lightest distortion-free polarized lens" paired with "the world's best anti-scratch coating." Experienced outdoor enthusiasts will tell you that high scratch resistance is a critical feature on any eyewear with interchangeable lenses--especially those who have scratched their sunglasses during the process of changing lenses. The Reactor Max lenses are easy to change: Simply pull each lens firmly and slowly in a downward motion away from the nose bridge. Then place the outer edge of the new colored lens into the groove in the frame and slide it until it locks into place. All interchangeable lenses on the Reactor Max feature a TLT carbonic design. The TLT stands for "Tapered Lens Technology" a distortion-free curve design that makes objects in the lenses look exactly as they would appear if you were not wearing eyewear at all. Normally light passing thorough a curved lens would refract or distort making your brain work harder to correct your view and resulting in eye fatigue. Smith used their Tapered Lens Technology to progressively taper the carbonic material along the curve straightening out the light waves so you see the trail and surf exactly as it is intended. An adjustable nose bridge facilitates sizing although the Polarized Reactor Max is best suited for medium-sized faces.
