Go ahead--monkey around in the park or pipe. Salomon added extra color to this season's Teneighty Thruster ski but the real truth is that Jamie Strachan's monkey masterpiece "questions the capability and intelligence of certain world leaders" and "represents a number of paradoxes in our current world climate." We'll leave the artistic interpretations up to you but we really like how Salomon retained the best performance qualities in this park-oriented trick ski. The Teneighty Thruster has an Isocell core that's wrapped in a composite monocoque Double wall construction that doesn't go flat after a couple of seasons like some traditional wood cores. The rivets on the tip serve a purpose--they help keep you from getting totally turned around in the pipe and other places where you tend to take spins. One thing to keep in mind is that unlike the Teneighty Gun Foil and SPK the Teneighty Thruster doesn't have that full-width total edge reinforcement (which potentially adds flying time by lightening the ski). So if you tend to dish out abuse you might need a little extra reinforcement from another ski in the Teneighty lineup. Salomon likes pairing this ski with their ultra-lightweight Z12 Ti B80 and Z10 Ti B80 bindings because it doesn't take anything away from the pop.
