Expert-oriented performance designed for precision skiing with exceptional sensitivity to terrain.
If you skied when you were eight you probably remember every undulation in the snow every subtle change in the terrain. That's because you were lighter and closer to the ground than now. It's almost ironic how some things go full circle and some expert skis have sensitive characteristics that elevate your awareness about the snow beneath your feet--provided that you have the right ski boots to feel and react to those changes. That's why Salomon developed the Falcon ski boot line and these Falcon 10s. It's an innovative anatomical design with a leather-textured Sensitive Liner that helps you transmit power from your feet while reacting faster and more precisely than previous ski boot designs. The Falcon 10 features Salomon's Advanced Shell Technology with a Second Skin Shell that has an average width of two millimeters but in some places the thicker shell areas were reduced by as much as four millimeters to reduce the average boot weight by as much as 10% over last year. This season Salomon replaced their Spaceframe holes with an asymmetrical multilayer construction (Spaceframe Shell Profile) to optimize your energy transmission between your foot and the ski binding. The liner has a softer sole beneath your metatarsals for improved forefoot sensitivity but the stiff Salomon Energyzer around the heel area of the shell helps keep the stiffness for full power transmission. The Falcon 10 also features an improved Salomon 3D Buckle with more adjustment features including three positions that increase your customization possibilities. Up top near the cuff (and the easy-entry Loop-on tongue) is a new 3D strap that has a new vertical adjustment strap for the best leg hold ever created for Salomon boots. If you crave racing precision and exceptional feel but you don't want a lightly lined (and potentially uncomfortable) racing ski boot the Falcon 10 is an easy choice.
