That's because this quality eco-friendly sandal has a full-grain leather upper that feels better against your skin than all those cheap webbing-wrapped thongs out there. Patagonia applied the same earth-friendly manufacturing processes used on their recycled fleece outerwear to their sandals adding at least 20% recycled materials in their compression molded EVA midsoles. The hand-sewn construction used in the Foxglove also reduces the use of toxic water-based solvents in the manufacturing process. We like the extra stuff like the decorative trim made from natural jute cord and the heel wrapped with latex and coconut but the natural fit is beyond words.
