Mountain Safety Research Hubba Hubba Tent

A spacious and lightweight three season shelter for two. Freestanding quick and easy to pitch.

Winner of a prestigious 2005 Backpacker magazine Editor's Choice award the MSR Hubba Hubba™ Tent maximizes space while minimizing weight resulting in a spacious super light home-away-from-home for two people. At 7 feet long and over 4 feet wide the MSR Hubba Hubba™ Tent has plenty of room for a pair of tired adventurers to get some shut-eye without rolling into one another. To keep the weight down the tent canopy is largely mesh great for ventilation and ideal for star gazing on cloudless nights when the bugs are out in force. Also to save weight the innovative main pole assembly arches over the top of the tent then splits at a connecting hub where shorter pieces connect to each corner. This lifts the tent ceiling and provides space creating vertical pitch to the tent walls eliminating the need for 2 additional long poles as found on traditional backpacking tents of this size. With two doors each occupant can climb in and out of the MSR Hubba Hubba™ Tent without clamoring over each other. The vestibule openings over each door offer drip-free entry and a dry refuge for boots and camping gear part of a full-coverage rain fly that is fully seam taped. Although the floor is also seam taped a MSR Hubba Hubba™ Footprint (sold separately) is recommended to protect the tent floor from abrasion. This footprint also serves as a ground cloth when matched with the fly and poles as an ultralight fastpacking alternative.
