With extended grips a Soft Antishock System (SAS) Lite reduces stress on the joints muscles and ligaments by combining an internal steel spring and elastomer for a smooth unique shock absorbing suspension. Additionally this featured can easily be turned off for more effecient climbing. Secure support is further enhance with its SLS (Super Lock System) that gives 60% more holding power at the joint adjustment. Incorporating a 15-degree positive angle into the extended grips these poles offer a neutral ergonomic position for your wrist and hand allowing for exceptional comfort and precise tip placement. The extended length of the grips allows you to grasp the pole lower on the shaft thus eliminating the need to shorten the length every time you encounter a steep slope or side hill traverse. The Peak XL also features a carbide flex tip that deflects up to 30 degrees without damaging the lower pole sections to reduces the risk of pole breakage in the event your pole gets caught between rocks or roots.
