K2 Women's Tough Luv Skis w/ M1 11.0 TC Binding

Narrower than the Phat Luv for better turning on hardpack. The ultimate all-mountain expert ski.

You can't always make fresh tracks every morning but if you try K2's new all-mountain Tough Luv with integrated Marker M1 11.0 TC Binding is the right choice for that morning blend of 70% groomed/30% untracked terrain. The Tough Luv is a new design that offers expert and advanced female skiers an easier turning alternative to women's powder-oriented all-mountain skis. It features a fast and agile metal laminate construction that's lightweight and lively in rolling bumps and broken crud. If you're wondering about the mix of fir and spruce in the core that's the key element in K2's female-specific BioFlex design. K2 created a stable and forgiving profile by using spruce at the tip and tail and fir beneath the binding area. Using spruce at the ends helps with turn initiation and enhances the lightweight characteristics that are essential in keeping a female-specific ski more responsive than a heavier unisex ski design. Because the Tough Luv was made for speed there's a vibration dampening Mod Monic to minimize chatter and improve contact with the snow so you're more apt to initiate turns exactly where you want to. Coupled with K2's Mod Technology the Tough Luv is amazingly smooth and easy to control despite being an advanced ski. Mod Technology is a secondary elastomeric core that's independent of the wood core that dampens vibrations without taking anything away from the overall ski flex. That's why K2 compares Mod Technology to shock absorbers in an off-road car--Mod Technology keeps the Tough Luv lively without the same unforgiving qualities that sometimes deter new expert skiers from becoming "experienced" expert skiers. Like previous seasons K2 continues to donate a portion of their proceeds from all K2 women's products to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation--so you have another reason to feel good about skiing on new K2 skis this season.
