Tracks speed and cadence when you run indoors with your Garmin Forerunner 305.
Into every training routine a little rain must fall. That's why Garmin developed this Foot Pod Speed/Cadence Sensor for indoor workouts with the Garmin Forerunner 305. It's a wireless design that has a programmable stride mechanics feature that runs circles around ordinary step counters especially if you're running on an indoor track or treadmill. The Foot Pod Speed/Cadence Sensor for the Forerunner 305 fits over your running shoe laces and helps your Forerunner 305 register distance pace and calories burned even when you're beyond the range of any effective GPS sources. Unlike a lot of other step counters the Foot Pod can distinguish the difference between jogging walking and running so the Forerunner 305 readily breaks down this incoming data and differentiates between calorie burn rates. In fact Garmin estimates that the sensor has an uncalibrated accuracy of 97% for speed and distance but if you dial in your performance specifics with complete calibration you should be able to measure results at 99% accuracy. The Foot Pod requires on AAA battery that usually runs for a minimum of 70 hours before requiring replacement.
