The launching point for the world's best freestyle pros. Ultra-lightweight composite technology.
Redesigned with a 13% lighter carbon-glass baseplate the Burton CO2 is the ultimate choice for serious freestyle riders who need a precision performance when every point from the judges counts. This season Burton also replaced the former Air Mesh with a new Real Mesh High Back although we thought that last year's Air Mesh looked pretty real. The overall result is less weight for potentially more energy saved and possibly a couple of more inches of air above the half pipe (your performance results may vary). All of the good stuff from last season remains in place on the CO2. Burton's Living Hinge is set up to allow you to adjust your forward lean settings independent of the rotation so you can tweak the rotation once for the entire season and play with the forward lean as snow conditions change. True OTT EVA padding along the edges eliminates potential pressure points. A new pre-curved triple-axis telescoping Superstrap II cinches in your custom fit with a new tool-free strap length adjustment feature that does away with the need for box cutting knives or butcher's scissors. This means that you can play with your binding sizing to adapt to a variety of boot sizes. A Super Capstrap with Grip Fit up front has a 3D contoured shape that molds to your boot toe pushing your heel back firmly into the binding while holding the foot down for better response. The Grip Fit element also gives the CO2 an extra power and response element that's essential for competitive riders. While it might be tough to discern that the baseplate is 13% lighter than last season you will notice the vibration-dampening pad beneath the baseplate. It helps neutralize unsettling vibrations while promoting stability--especially just after those tricky landings. If every ounce matters for amplitude at any altitude Burton's CO2 snowboard binding should be in the top spot of your preflight checklist.
