This is achieved through the use of the latest generation of 3-layer Gore-Tex® the Pro Shell series and Arc'teryx's industry leading construction techniques. 380NR Gore-Tex® 3-layer Pro is used for the torso and sleeves and highly abrasion resistant 480NR Gore-Tex® 3-layer Pro is used on the shoulders and elbows. While one fabric is a bit tougher than the other they both offer a breakthrough in breathability rugged strength and durable waterproofing. These fabrics also have strong woven backers that bond better than ever to laminated components and narrow seam tape. Laminated zips eliminate the need for bulky zipper flaps tiny Gore® seam tape doesn't diminish the jacket's supple feel and overall the Arc'teryx Beta AR jacket for women is significantly lighter and more breathable than if traditional construction techniques were used.
