Stratton Mountain Winter 2007/2008

Every mountain says it has great snow. Stratton guarantees it!
Ski or ride for an hour. Any time, any day. Not happy? Return that ticket for another day.
Stratton has the raw material to cover every single trail on the mountain with two feet of snow; using HKD tower guns that would take 13.5 days, based on ideal snowmaking conditions.

Last year alone, Stratton dedicated more than $3.4 million to snowmaking operations. That does not include any capital expenditures. Stratton has invested $16 million in snowmaking in the last decade alone ? making great snow is still part art form.

108 New Snowguns for 2007/2008!
Snowmaking firepower:
- 405 HKD tower-mounted snowguns
- 100 additional air/water guns
- 380 land guns
- 14 quiet fan guns
- 220 million gallons of water in reserve

All of the ingredients for a perfect Vermont ski getaway can be found at Stratton Mountain.

A Stratton Mountain vacation begins with big mountain skiing and snowboarding and a wide variety of lodging choices, from slopeside retreats to village condos, all centered around the shops, restaurants and activities of Stratton Village. Add to that Stratton's Great Snow Guarantee, 45 acres of learning-specific terrain, over 600 acres of skiable terrain, four terrain parks, two base areas, four high-speed 6-pack lifts and one, twelve passenger summit gondola and you have the perfect Vermont family ski vacation.

Stratton's 90 trails and over 100 acres of glades offer every member of the family something to excite their palette. Beginners will find over 45 acres of gentle, cruising terrain accessed by two aerial and two surface lifts, plus green rated trails off of the summit. Intermediates can cruise the groomers or even duck into Stratton's intermediate glades and the bumps, steeps, trees and terrain parks await the advanced skiers in the group. On your next family ski trip to Vermont, find out just how family friendly Stratton's terrain truly is.

Beyond the slopes, Stratton Village welcomes you with warm fire places, rustic timbers, quaint shops, friendly restaurants and a variety of lodging for every taste and budget.

Nothing says "Ultimate Ski Trip" like slopeside lodging and you will find plenty of options at Stratton; from the Resortside Condos and Mountain Watch to Sun Bowl's Solstice.

Slopeside family restaurants await as you stop in for a quick lunch or sit down for a full dinner. Stratton Village favorites include Mulligan's, for classic American fare, and Mullberry Street, for pizza, pasta and Italian inspired meals. Pull up a seat at a big table and let the good times roll. And don't forget a handful of quarters for the arcade.

At the end of the day, a Vermont winter vacation would not be complete without classic Vermont activities like ice skating, snowtubing and snowmobiling; all of which you'll find in Stratton Village.

With Stratton Mountain Resort's top rated lifts, snow, grooming, terrain parks and family programs, there is no reason to ski and ride anywhere else this season.

This year's selection of season passes offer both a variety of options, to meet guests various needs and combined with a number of added features to add value to a basic pass. With many 2007-2008 passes, skiers and riders will gain free use of the Nordic Center, 50% off skiing at Intrawest Resorts, free skiing at Mountain Creek in New Jersey, early lift access at 7:45 a.m., $50 retail certificates or bundled access to Stratton, Okemo and Sunapee.

Freestyle and Women's LTR

An original Burton Method Center and Kid's Method Center resort, Stratton is one of only two resorts in North America to offer the complete line of Burton Learn-to-Ride programs with the addition this year of Freestyle LTR and Women's LTR.

The LTR Centers are committed to make learning to ride fast, easy and fun.

Whether you're trying to bust out a butter, or stomp your first frontside five, the Progression Freestyle Centers will take your skills to the next level, according to Burton. The cutting-edge parks, pipes and rails at Stratton make sure you're learning on nothing but the best terrain. New gear like the Dominant Slick with recessed edges is designed to make unattainable tricks possible.

Back in the day, you'd be lucky to see one woman snowboarder at a mountain. Now, women make up nearly half of all first time riders. But a huge majority quit after one try. "We want to make sure everyone who tries snowboarding falls in love with it," says Burton.

The Women's Snowboard Workshop is a great way to learn to ride or take your ability to the next level. This full day instructional program includes 5 hours of coaching daily, breakfast and lunch, demos, activities at the Sport Center and an optional dinner. All levels of ability are welcome!
Dates: February 11-13, 2008 & March 3-4, 2008
