It is going to be a beautiful day on the mountain. The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies today with a slight breeze around 5 to 10 mph. Temperatures should reach into the mid to high 30's on the ridge tops. Make sure you wear your sunscreen and bring those cameras! With clear skies the views of the Pristine Lake and snow covered Sierra Mountains are great.
Our groomers have been laying down their famous corduroy all season long and today is no different. Picks of the day are Orion's in Nevada and Ridge in California. With a little over a week to go we still have 75% of the mountain open, and that means over 60 cut trails, plenty of trees, a huge Terrain Park, and Super Pipe! Our base depth is 28 to 48 inches. Surface conditions are machine groomed-packed powder, and skier-packed powder.
13 lifts are scheduled to operate from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Spring lift ticket prices are in effect, $49 for adults, $39 for teens, $19 for children and $27 for seniors. All access to the mountain is via the Gondola, and California Lodge. All beginner access is via the California Lodge. Since it is the end of the year and you skiers might want to try snowboarding and you snowboarders might want to try skiing, just for something different check out the great packages our rental shops offer.
Bring the entire family for this mountain-wide Easter celebration tomorrow. Colorful, prize-filled eggs will be hidden in the Enchanted Forest for children enrolled in ski school to find. Adults can search the entire California side of the mountain for their prizes. It will be a fun-filled Easter!
Plus...if you want to get out and enjoy the snow but don't feel like skiing or riding, or just want a great family activity check out our Adventure Park located at the top of the Gondola. They offer snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, sledding, and tubing from 10am - 3pm. Prices are $34 for Adults and $28 for children; this includes all day access to the park, all your equipment, and a one-time scenic gondola ride.
Heavenlys closing date is set for April 27th. You can swing by the California Lodge and pick up your Season pass for next year.
