For 39 years, Cataloochee skiers have enjoyed exciting slopes, winding trails and a friendly, helpful atmosphere that makes the Cataloochee Ski Area experience unique.
At Cataloochee, located in the heart of the Smokey Mountains, families learn their skiing skills on our special beginner slopes with their own chairlift. Then, they graduate to the more difficult intermediate slopes like "Lower Omigosh" and the
"Snowbird Trail". Finally, they advance to 5400' Moody Top, with it's 740' vertical drop and some of the most challenging expert terrain in the Southeast.
From beginner to expert, Cataloochee has the terrain to match any skill level.
