Attitash Resort was built by Phil Robertson, a local developer from North Conway, New Hampshire. The ski area first opened in 1965, with 41 skiable acres, one chairlift and two t-bars but today, Attitash Bear Peak is a full-service resort with skiing and riding on two mountains. Attitash offers classic New England style trails with narrow curves and challenging pitches, including a challenging 46 degrees on the Ptarmigan trail. Bear Peak, first developed in 1994, offers more wide open terrain but also has plenty of challenge for more advanced skiers and riders.
